Simon Alford

I am a Ph.D. candidate in computer science at Cornell University in AI/ML, advised by Kevin Ellis. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from MIT.

I am interested in the application of neural networks to symbolic domains such as mathematical reasoning, programming, or world modeling. My recent work focuses on algorithms for symbolic regression, including evolutionary algorithms and neural network distillation.
